Adani Wilmar Launches Whole Wheat: Till now you have seen flour packets of different brands being sold in the nearby grocery store. But for the first time, branded wheat is also going to be available in the market in the country, that too of different varieties. Adani Wilmar, the FMCG company of Adani Group (Adani Wilmar Going to enter the branded wheat segment. The company has announced that it will now sell wheat in the market under the name of Fortune brand.
Announcing on Friday, Adani Wilmar said that the company will sell different varieties of wheat under the name of Fortune brand. The wheat varieties will include Sharbati, Poorna 1544, Lokwan and AP Grade 1, which will be initially sold in Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The company claims that Adani Wilmar will be the only national level company in the country which is going to enter the category of selling whole wheat.
Speaking on the launch of this product, Vinit Vishwambharan, Associate Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Adani Wilmar said, “Traditional families are very selective in choosing their favorite wheat varieties from the neighborhood flour mill in western and eastern states of the country. But different varieties of Fortune wheat will give them options. He said that at present there is a great need of good quality wheat without adulteration in the market. And Adani Wilmar will provide better quality wheat to the consumers across the country.
Adani Wilmar has shared the information about the launch of wheat under the name of Fortune brand with the Stock Exchanges in the regulatory filing. After this news, the stock of Adani Wilmar is down by 0.30 per cent and is trading at Rs 450.70.
