Stock Market Closing On 27th March 2023: On the first day of the week, the Indian stock market closed in green. Although the market has closed below its high of the day. In today’s trading, profit booking was seen in midcap stocks. At the end of today’s trading, the BSSE Sensex closed at 57,653 with a gain of 127 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 16,985 points with a gain of 40 points.

In today’s trade, there has been a boom in the shares of Pharma, FMCG, Bank, IT, Healthcare sector. At the same time, the shares of consumer durables, energy, auto and oil and gas sectors have closed down. There has been a big decline in small cap and mid cap stocks. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 28 closed with gains and 22 closed with losses. While in the Sensex, 16 stocks closed up and 14 closed down.

Today, Reliance’s share in the market closed with a gain of 1.54 per cent, Sun Pharma 1.15 per cent, Maruti Suzuki 0.96 per cent, SBI 0.87 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 0.80 per cent, UltraTech Cement 0.71 per cent, Infosys 0.61 per cent, HUL 0.46 per cent. Power Grid 1.10%, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.93%, Tata Motors 0.90%, NTPC 0.87%, Bajaj Finance 0.81% in today’s trade. Larsen closed with a fall of 0.44 per cent.

The Indian stock market may have closed with a boom, but investors have suffered huge losses due to the fall in small cap and mid cap stocks. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has been Rs 253.51 lakh crore, while it was Rs 254.53 lakh crore on Friday. Investors have suffered a loss of Rs 1.02 lakh crore in today’s trading session.
