Producer Boney Kapoor on Tuesday shared a throwback picture of his late wife Sridevi on Instagram. The producer recently made his Instagram debut and quite frequently shares pictures of his family on the social media platform.
The picture shared by Boney Kapoor is from Durga Puja celebrations attended by him and Sridevi in Lucknow. In the picture, Sridevi’s forehead and cheeks are covered with vermillion and ‘Boney’ is written on her back with vermillion. Sharing the picture, Boney Kapoor wrote, “In Lucknow celebrating one of the festivities of Durga Puja at Sahara Sahar in 2012.”
Earlier, the producer also shared a picture of him and his late wife from Cannes and captioned it as, “We both had a sweet tooth, she had control of how much to have and me no control.” He had also posted a memory from the premiere of English Vinglish in Tokyo and wrote, “Walking out of the hotel lobby. We were there for the premiere of English Vinglish. It remains one of the most successful Indian films in Japan.”
Sridevi, often considered Bollywood’s ‘first female superstar’ passed away in Dubai in 2018. She was awarded the National Award for Best Actress posthumously for her performance in her last movie Mom (2017). The actor is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
