Idli Recipes: Soft, and healthy idlis when paired with spicy sambar and coconut chutney make the best breakfast dish. It cannot be denied that idli is one of the easiest anytime snacks, which can be steamed and made within minutes. Although there are many days when you do not feel like eating idli regularly, well for that we are telling some unique dishes which can be easily made from leftover idli.
Take idlis and cut them into desired shape, take a pan and add mustard seeds, whole red chilies, curry leaves and let it splutter. Put 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp red chili powder, salt as per taste and fry in idli pieces. Once the idli turns brown and crispy, transfer to a plate and enjoy.
To make this simple dish, take a plate and cut idli into desired shape and keep it. Take a bowl and put curd in it, add salt, sugar, roasted cumin powder and red chili powder and whisk it. Meanwhile add chopped vegetables like onion, tomato, green chili, green coriander and pour it over the vegetables and idli.
Make delicious patties with mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, salt, black pepper and red chili flakes and mix with cornflour. Fry the patties, stuff idli, vegetables, cheese and spices and heat in microwave oven or air fryer for 4-5 minutes and enjoy hot.
Idli Corn Pakora
To make this quick and hassle free pakoda, take a blender and add 2 green chillies, 1 tbsp garlic ginger powder, roasted cumin powder, salt and black pepper along with the remaining idli pieces. Make a fine paste and add corn kernels, chopped onions, coriander leaves and knead a smooth mixture. Heat oil in a pan and with the help of a spoon pour the batter into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras and eat them.
