During this, Warner celebrated the victory in his familiar ‘Pushpa’ style. This style of his is becoming quite viral. Team India has lost the ODI series on its soil after four years. Earlier in the year 2019, he was defeated 3-2 by Australia in the 5 ODI series.

Australia played a series of 4 Tests and three ODIs on the tour of India. Team India defeated the Kangaroos 2-1 in the Test series. India won the first Test played in Indore by an innings and 132 runs. And in the second match in Delhi, India won by 6 wickets. Australia won the third match played in Indore by 9 wickets. While the fourth match played in Ahmedabad was a draw. After this the ODI series was played between the two countries. In the first ODI played in Mumbai, Team India defeated the guests by 5 wickets. In the second match in Visakhapatnam, Australia made a comeback and defeated India by 10 wickets. Whereas, in the third match played in Chennai, the Kangaroos defeated India by 21 runs to win the series 2-1.
