Philippines: Suspected members of a banned Sikh separatist group have been arrested in the Philippines. This information was given by a government agency of the Philippines. According to the agency, three Indian nationals were arrested from an apartment in Iloilo City. Fake passports have been found with all three, suspected youths have been kept in army custody

The suspected members were arrested in a joint operation by the Bureau of Immigration, the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) and the Military Intelligence Group, the Philippines’ news agency reported. Regarding this matter, CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos said that this operation has been carried out with utmost care.

Ramos told that during the operation members of the Khalistani group tried to attack. But they could not succeed in their plan. He further said that there is a clear order from the President of the country that foreign terrorists should not get shelter in the country. According to local media reports, the three suspects have been kept in the custody of the Philippine Army.

The suspects have been identified as Manpreet Singh (23 years), Amritpal Singh (24 years) and Arshdeep Singh (26 years). According to media reports, all three belong to the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). According to the news agency, all three entered the country using fake passports and are also on the Interpol Red Notice watchlist.
