National Air Sports Policy: Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today launched the country’s first ‘National Air Sports Policy’. On this occasion, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today there is a need to give proper support to the air sports culture in the country. India has the potential to be among the top countries of the world in the field of air sports. This will also develop sports tourism in the country. Employment will increase rapidly, especially in hilly areas. The goal of the government is that by 2030, India can be placed in the line of the best countries of the world in this field.
Which sports come under Air Sports
Air sports includes many other sports like air racing, aerobatics, aeromodelling, hang gliding, para gliding, para motoring and sky diving. International competitions of these games are also held. India does not participate in any such competition permanently, but due to this new policy of the government for the first time, India can soon join the international competitions of these games.
Favorable conditions for air sports
Jyotiraditya Scindia said that India’s vast geographical area and clear weather conditions in different regions give India an important edge for air sports. India has a large number of youth who are increasingly interested in exciting sports and flying sports.
The country will get economic benefits and employment from air sports
Air sports activity will not only generate direct revenue but also increase travel growth, tourism, infrastructure and local employment. For this, air sports hubs will also be set up all over the country so that professional players of air sports can come there. All these will benefit the country financially.
India will become a member of Fi
India’s sportspersons and government organizations have to improve sports and infrastructure so that India can be made a member of FI. The Federation of Aeronautic International (FAI) based in Switzerland is recognized as the governing body of air sports around the world. About 100 countries are its members. Founded in 1905, this organization organizes air sports events around the world and operates global records.
Special care has been taken in the new policy
According to the Minister of Civil Aviation, the National Air Sports Policy (NASP) has been prepared with the opinion of experts and will also be upgraded as per the experience and need. To promote the air sports sector, the government has set up a safe, cheap, easily available, recreational and stable type of air sports activity in the country.
