Akshay Kumar Bought Tickets In Black For This Big B Film

Akshay Kumar is bringing normalcy back to the movies by releasing his next film in theatres. Bell Bottom is all set to go on the big screen on August 19. Akshay Kumar recently got chatting during the trailer launch of Bell Bottom and in his conversation about movies and watching films in theatres, he revealed something really surprising.

Akshay Kumar shared a sweet memory from his young days, where he recollected his obsession for movies and how passionate he was to watch the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Amar Akbar Anthony. He tells us that he used to be in Delhi and he wanted to watch the blockbuster Amar Akbar Anthony on any condition, “I remember watching Amar Akbar Anthony in the theatre by buying a ticket in black… it was raining heavily that day but I wanted to watch that film at any cost. Being a cinema lover, it was extremely important for me to watch that film. I failed to get a ticket to a theatre near my locality..so I had to go to Amba cinema where I watched Amar Akbar Anthony in black.” Now isn’t that some crazy obsession we all have had for movies back in the day – when tickets were sold in black at hugely inflated prices.

Akshay Kumar further added that some films remain alive in our memory and for the superstar it is Amar Akbar Anthony that he will always cherish. Meanwhile he’s gung ho about the release of Bell Bottom. The film is directed by Ranjt M Tewari and also stars Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and Vaani Kapoor. The film’s trailer looks super-interesting and we can’t wait to watch this one on the big screen. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar has wrapped up the first schedule of Raksha Bandhan and post the release of Bell Bottom, he has dozen other projects to finish.
