In the last few weeks Radhika Madan has made everyone sit back and take notice of her. Her back-to-back performances in OTT ventures in Ray anthology (with Harshvardhan Kapoor) and then in yet another short-stories series Feels Like Ishq, the actress has made a mark for herself. Today she gets into a candid interview with E Times and spills the beans about everything.
In the interview, when Radhika was asked about auditioning for Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and not bagging the role, the actress says that there is nothing to regret. She in fact knew that she wouldn’t bag the role because she had given the worst audition of her life. “I gave the worst audition of my life. Nobody would have liked that audition, I’m damn sure. So that was the worst audition of my life and I take the responsibility for that, I won’t blame anyone for that. I just made a promise to myself while walking out of that office that I would never freak out over any project.” Surprisingly two weeks later she auditioned for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Patakha and the actress made sure she gave her best to it. She soon worked on a mantra to crack her auditions where she believes that she needs to enjoy her character and her auditions in those two minutes. “It has worked really well for Patakha and Angrezi Medium, and even the auditions that I give till now. So, that setback was really important for me to realise this thing,” she added.
Speak about relationships and the actress says that she’s currently dating life. However the actress does add about a recent heartbreak, “I’m in love with my life. I’m in love with everything I’m doing right now. I was in a relationship, a really long one. But, we recently broke up and that’s fine. Right now, I’m really enjoying my life and I think it’s really important for you to fill yourself up and then offer it to somebody else, rather than just taking from each other. So if my cup is full and the other person’s cup is full, only then we can be in a relationship.” True that.
