Pakistan towards economic collapse!

With dwindling foreign exchange reserves and rising inflation, Pakistan is on the verge of economic collapse and is headed for the same economic collapse as Sri Lanka. Inflation in Pakistan hit double digits in July, the biggest increase in nearly six years.

conditions of poverty and hunger

The current economic index of Pakistan is very bad. According to the UNDP, Pakistan is facing a debt of more than US$250 billion and Karachi city being the economic capital is also going through a period of severe instability. Millions of people have fallen victim to poverty and even starvation. Along with this, the danger of increasing social unrest is increasing day by day.

What is the reason for the economic crisis in Pakistan?

According to the Foreign Exchange Association of Pakistan, since the beginning of 2022, the Pakistani rupee has lost more than 30 per cent of its value. Rapid depletion of foreign exchange reserves is the reason for Pakistan’s double deficit inflation, lack of foreign exchange inflows and rapid increase in foreign debt service obligations. Apart from this, theft, smuggling, drug trafficking and violence have further worsened the social and economic situation.

Which is the most livable city?

The most livable cities in the world are mostly in Europe and Canada due to good infrastructure and stability, especially in the Global Liveability Index. Vienna, the capital of Austria, has topped the list of top 10 places to live in the world. Vienna had topped the list in 2018 and 2019 as well.
