Indian women’s hockey coach Sjoerd Marijne calls Shah Rukh Khan the best in Bollywood

While hearts were certainly broken following the Indian Women’s Hockey team’s loss to Great Britain at the bronze medal match today at the Tokyo Olympics, a billion voices rose to support them. The Indian Women’s Hockey team has delivered an outstanding performance at the Tokyo Olympics and have found many fans. One of those fans is Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Following Team India’s loss today, SRK had tweeted: “Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women’s Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory.”

The Indian Women’s Hockey team coach, Sjoerd Marijne who has previously had a warm interaction with SRK tweeted back saying:  “Thank you @srk for all the love ! It’s great to have support from the best in Bollywood. It’s time for Chak De part 2, what say?” He followed this up with a smiling emoji.

Following India’s win at the hockey matches at the Olympics, Chak De! India was trending on Twitter with many even sharing videos of themselves dancing to the film’s title track.
