Addressing an inaugural event in Islamabad, Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar expressed hope that his country would progress as it was built in the name of Islam. The Pakistani Finance Minister said, “They are trying their best to improve the condition of Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”
‘Trying to rectify the situation’
Dar said that Pakistan is facing the brunt of the misdeeds of the previous government and the ‘drama’ started about five years ago. He also said that between 2013 and 2017, Pakistan’s economy was strong under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. He said that the Pakistan Stock Exchange was the best capital market in South Asia and was ranked fifth during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure. “Our government team is trying to rectify the situation before the elections,” Dar said.
Imran Khan held responsible
Ishaq Dar fiercely attacked Imran Khan during this. He blamed the Imran government only for this condition of the country. Dar said, “Pakistan was on the path of development during Nawaz’s tenure, but it got derailed. People can see the devastation the country has created in the last five years and they know who has worked in the past.” ” He said, “The Shehbaz Sharif-led government inherited the issues from the Imran Khan government. He said that our government is working day and night.”
