Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif At UNGA: Kashmir And Article 370

Shehbaz Sharif On Kashmir: Pakistan has once again chanted the melody of Kashmir. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told the United Nations (UN) General Assembly that his country wants a peaceful solution to the matter and wants to live as a peaceful neighbour.

Terming Kashmir as a long dispute, Shahbaz Sharif said, “India’s decision (Article 370) has made the solution more difficult. There is a conspiracy to make Jammu and Kashmir a Hindu territory.” He said, “Since 1947, we have fought 3 wars and as a result, only misery, poverty and unemployment have increased on both sides. Now it is up to us to resolve our differences, our problems and our issues through peaceful dialogue and discussion.

The Pakistani PM said, “I think the time has come for India to understand the message that both the countries are connected to each other. War is not an option, issues can be resolved only through peaceful dialogue so that there will be more peace in the world in the times to come.
