The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, celebrated 29 years at the movies today. His debut film, Deewana, had hit the big screen on the 25th of June, 1992. Before that, SRK had made a name for himself in television shows like Fauji. And the rest, as they say, is history. King Khan has carved a name for himself in Indian cinema and is, perhaps, the most recognised Bollywood star abroad. He has been honoured with the Padma Shri, France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion of Honour and he has also won 14 Filmfare Awards in his long career. To celebrate this moment, the star held his popular #AskSRK segment on Twitter where he responds to fans. One fan asked him to say something about South superstar Thalapathy Vijay and SRK promptly responded: “Very cool”.
As of writing this article, his tweet on Vijay had garnered more than 15,000 likes and around 5,500 retweets. Both SRK and Vijay have a loyal fanbase and they were seen celebrating this moment on social media. Some fans called SRK the “Badshah of Bollywood” and Vijay the “Beast of Kollywood”. In 2013, Khan had attended an award function in Chennai and had shared the stage with Vijay. The Swades actor was there to hand a trophy to Vijay for his performance in the film, Thuppakki. However, the star convinced Thalapathy Vijay to also shake a leg with him on stage and they danced to the ‘Google Google’ song.
