Ukraine Russia War Vladimir Putin Granted Citizenship To Former Spy Edward Snowden

Ukraine Russia War: Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree granting Russian citizenship to Edward Snowden, a whistleblower who exposed the US government and intelligence department. Now Snowden has officially become a citizen of Russia.

Edward Snowden leaked secret files of the US Defense Agency in 2013. After which he came in the discussion. Due to the leak of these documents, America’s image on the global scene was badly damaged. At that time, diplomatically, the USA had to face great embarrassment and criticism when these news were published in America’s prestigious media channel.

Russia has granted citizenship to Snowden at a time when the Western countries and the US are trying to put global pressure on Russia by besieging Russia on all global forums due to the Ukraine war. In the recent UNGA meeting too, Russia had to be very uncomfortable because of the US.
